We did this show this year for the first and last time.  We were placed next to cell phone cases and lots of $1 misc. things, which they had 10 spaces, and jewelry bought from the internet.  We were the only vendor who made our products, on our block. Very different crowd compared to the Blue Crab Festival, which we will do and have done for the past 3 years.  The planning of arts and craft vendors was poorly laid out.  Arts and Craft vendors should have been separated from the commerical vendors.  Several customers commented it was a glorified flea market.  Food vendors were complaining about no sales also.  Lots of people just out to get fresh air.

Yes, alot of people were out getting fresh air as you put it. Did you know that Palatka has the highest unemployment in the state of Florida. I was a vendor at that show too, and I also didn't make any money. But who's to say as you put it glorified flea market vendor hurt your sales. People don't buy what they want any more they buy what they can. Did you every think that maybe your home made items were not it. No one made any money at the Palatka Festival. Alot of Festival's that have been money maker's in the past are not doing well. But people can't buy when they don't have money. And as for your flea market vendor don't blame them they are just trying to pay there bill's just like you.
